Driving around in this country of ours
There's wide open land that is empty of towns
And the land is so cheap we could buy a big ranch
And start up a farm and bring all of our friends
And restart our lives from scratch
Based on love and trust and put greed in our past
There'd be art and great music instead of TVs
And everyone there would have plenty to eat... for a while, for a while

Sure enough someone would enter our zone
And bring jealousy and hatred and discord along
And sure enough fighting and liars and thieves
